`FOUR LEVEL HOME`, LAAGRI, TALLINN, 2009, AREA: 367m2
Click here to see the ERAMU magazine article (2009), 5 pg. The owners of this 6000m² south-facing riverside property are parents of 4 rambunctious children. They expressly requested an informal, comfortable home which would not feel messy even if it actually was. Functional zones are organized along a central axis which extends over four half levels providing acoustical privacy, yet tying together visually. One can see the lower level swimming pool from the kitchen diagonally across the living room, through a low interior window. A favourite spot is the 4m high roofed ground floor terrace `sun trap` which provides a warm area for morning coffee already in early spring, but is cool with the summer`s high sun. Special interior finishes are naturally-toned clay plasters, stone and oak. Team: Lembit Tork, Villu Scheler, Kuido Karlson, Jekaterina Magdalenoka. Interior design: Lembit Tork. Structural engineer: Jüri Sari.
