1910 FARMHOUSE RESTORATION & ADDITIONS, CONFERENCE CENTRE & SAUNA - SWIMMING PAVILION. 1100m².
West coast of Estonia. This environmentally harmonious conference resort and vacation residence began as a single forlorn farmhouse. After completing restoration work a matching two-storey thatched-roof wing (with sleeping accomodations, conference hall and food preparation kitchen) was added creating a formal forecourt. Augmenting this ensemble is a 300m curving pond, a sauna-swimming pavilion with a unique springboard bridge, carport & workrooms, tool shed, pens for 50 bison and 40 sheep, herb garden, 3-hole golf course, and extensive landscaping throughout. A carefully chosen mix of natural oils and pigments was concocted to weatherproof all exterior wooden elements, unobtrusively blending in with the existing weather-worn look of the original building.
